2008 Summer
Anderson Grant Recipients



   

      The Department of Politics maintains the Anderson Fund for support of small academic projects performed by full-time degree-seeking undergraduate students majoring in Politics, UEP and DWA.  Projects must be politics related and primarily academic in nature, although not-for-credit activities can receive support.  Funds will be awarded to students on a competitive basis based on an application process.


      This summer the following students have received Anderson Grants this summer:

Robert Calderon
      Robert will be studying the access and barriers to healthcare in Mexico

Alison Caditz
      Alison will be volunteering at The Compass Center in Seattle

Kera Bartlett
     Kera will studying the 2008 democratic presidential contest and international media coverage in Denver

Allessandra Valconi
      Allesandra will be studying relations between the European Union and Turkey at the summer session in
      Yeditepe University in Turkey

Simona Gavrila
      Simona will be doing an internship at the Romanian Embassy/General Consulate in Washington, D.C.

Britt Karp
      Britt will be doing an editorial internship with Ms. Magazine in Los Angeles

Lauren Redford
      Lauren will be doing a Feminist and Leadership Internship with the Feminist Majority Foundation in Los
      Angeles
